Forward Telegram messages by keywords

Busy chats and news channels post far more than you need. TgRelay checks every new message against your word list and forwards only the matches to your channel — with exclusions, regular expressions, sender filters and duplicate protection when plain keywords are not enough.

How it works

1

Pick a source and a target

Choose the chat to watch — your channel via our bot, or any channel or group your connected account is in — and the channel to publish to.

2

Add keywords and exclusions

List the words that must appear and the words that rule a message out. Matching ignores case and works on parts of words.

3

Refine and save

Optionally limit senders and message types, turn on repeat skipping and save. New matching messages are forwarded automatically.

How keyword forwarding in Telegram works

By default a message passes if it contains any word from your list; switch to All words to require every one of them. Matching is case-insensitive and finds parts of words, so “sale” also catches “sales”. Exclusions always win: a message with an excluded word is skipped even when it matches. An empty list lets everything through, so you can rely on the other filters alone.

Regular expressions for precise matches

Write a word as /pattern/ and it becomes a regular expression. Use it to catch prices, model numbers or any text a plain keyword cannot describe — for example /iphone 1[5-7]/ for three iPhone generations at once. Regular expressions can be mixed with ordinary keywords and exclusions in the same forwarding.

Senders, replies, media and repeats

In groups you can forward only the messages of chosen people, by @username or numeric ID. Turn on reply checking and a short answer like “still available?” is forwarded too when the message it replies to matches — with that message quoted above. Limit the forwarding to message types such as photos, videos or files, and skip repeats: a message with the same text and media already sent within an hour, a day or a week is dropped.

Frequently asked questions

No. Keywords ignore case and also match inside longer words.

Yes. Switch the list from Any word to All words and a message is forwarded only if it contains every keyword.

Put it between slashes, for example /iphone 1[5-7]/. Everything between the slashes is treated as a pattern, not as a plain word.

Yes, in groups: add @usernames or numeric IDs to the sender filter. In a channel the author is the channel itself, so this filter is meant for groups.
