Mirror a Telegram channel automatically

Keep a backup or partner channel in step with your main one. TgRelay copies every new post of your channel to the mirror as soon as it is published — as a clean copy without the “Forwarded from” label, with photos, videos and albums.

How it works

1

Add the bot to both channels

Make our bot an admin of your main channel and of the mirror channel. Channels you own need no account login.

2

Create a copy forwarding

Select the main channel as the source and the mirror as the target, and choose copy mode. Leave the filters empty to mirror every post.

3

Publish as usual

Each new post in the main channel appears in the mirror within seconds. Pause or delete the forwarding at any time. Nothing else needs to be done.

Why keep a Telegram channel mirror

A mirror gives your readers a second place to follow you if the main channel becomes unavailable, lets you run separate channels for regions or partners from one source, and keeps an independent copy of what you publish. Doing it by hand means posting everything twice; a Telegram channel backup that copies posts on its own removes that routine. A mirror also helps when moving to a new channel: the audience switches over gradually while posts appear in both places.

Only new posts are copied

The mirror starts when the forwarding is created: every post published after that is copied, older posts are not imported. Later edits and deletions in the main channel are not carried over, so the mirror keeps each post as it was first published. If you need some older posts in the mirror, forward them once by hand; from then on new ones follow automatically.

Shape the mirror to fit

Copy mode lets the mirror look native: no header, the source name on top or a line of your own, plus an optional footer with a link or a signature. You can replace words, remove links or mentions, and mirror only part of the content with keyword or media-type filters — for example, only posts with photos for a gallery channel. Channels connected through the bot receive posts instantly, so the mirror trails the main channel by seconds, not minutes.
